Are there any restriction to ship some products?

Yes. Depending on the country where your event is taking place, there are different restrictions, for example in medicines, natural raw materials, some food and beverages, among others. We can advise in possible restrictions before you select your merchandise.

What should I do if my shipment is stuck at customs?

Give us a call, we will provide free consultation. Each country is unique about the treatment of importing commodities for meetings and events; frequently, Courier´s mode of clearance is highly restrictive, meaning that it is limited to certain items/commodities and value/weight limits.

How can I prevent Cargo damage, shortage or loss?
  • Use new, rigid, top quality boxes
  • Don’t exceed the maximum gross weight limit for the box
  • Try to use reinforced boxes and use filling or cushioning material for empty space
  • When packing fragile items or stacked objects, use dividers
  • Consider that your boxes may be opened at Customs
  • Keep the contents confidential (do not specify the content in the labeling)
  • Pack your goods in a systematic matter
  • Label each box on the side with the number of boxes that you are shipping (e.g. 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4)
  • Place the label on a flat surface on the side of the package

Is it advisable to hire cargo insurance?

Yes. It is highly recommended. You must know that the transportation of your shipment from origin to destinations will have continuous changes and manipulations, it means that each box in your shipment will pass through different hands, from warehouses, airlines, transport, even domestic and international government entities.

How does the cargo insurance policy work?

Mind that insurance is only applicable for unused new merchandise.

The coverage includes: ordinary risk of transit, total theft, partial theft, water damage, rusting, breaking or cracking; only when the value of the damage goods, exceed the deductible of 20% of the value of the shipment.

What is the difference between Partial Theft and Mysterious disappearance?

Mysterious disappearance is when conducting the inventory at destination something is missing, but the boxes do not show any visible damage.

Partial theft is considered when boxes have any clear sign of violence.

How can I know if my cargo has excess dimensions?

It is considered like that when it exceeds the regular capacity in weight and measures for a spot in the main deck of an airplane.

What is an ATA Carnet?

The ATA Carnet is known around the world as a “merchandise Passport” because it is a customs declaration that allows the identification of merchandise entering or leaving the country.
